Als Smo schreibt und veröffentlicht der aus Düsseldorf stammende Sänger und Songwriter Oskar Smollny bereits seit 2010 Musik. Anfangs mit Gesang und akustischer Gitarre unterwegs, ist er inzwischen in diversen musikalischen Gefilden zu Hause. Als markanteste Konstante in Smos Musik kann man die Stimme ausmachen, die in Gefühl und Intonation an Popveteranen wie David Bowie oder Bonobo erinnert.
